What is to be done?
Welcome to our podcast, your essential guide to navigating the tumultuous waters of change in an increasingly polarized world. We know we can’t continue on our current path. The stakes have never been higher, and the clock is ticking. We face a crisis marked by the denial of science, the dismantling of the international rule of law, and a growing divide that hampers our collective progress. In these times of uncertainty, we must confront the uncomfortable truth: while we have a rough idea of what needs to change, the "how" remains elusive. This podcast takes that pressing question as its starting point. What sets our podcast apart is its unique blend of perspectives from the corporate, financial, and activist realms. We understand that to effect meaningful change, we must bridge the gaps between these often disparate worlds.
In each episode, we engage with visionary leaders from business, politics, academia, and activism, individuals whose experiences, insights, and courage can illuminate new pathways forward. By combining the strategic thinking of corporate leaders, the analytical lens of financial experts, and the passionate drive of activists, we aim to create a holistic dialogue that addresses the complexities of sustainable development. This conversation is needed now more than ever. In a world where misinformation runs rampant and the foundations of democracy are under threat, we must amplify the voices that champion truth, science, and collaboration.
Our discussions will not shy away from difficult topics; instead, we will tackle the critical intersections of profit, policy, and purpose. We want to inspire not just dialogue but action, mapping out strategies and action plans that can drive the transition we desperately need. Through candid conversations and thought-provoking debates, we’ll explore innovative solutions that emerge when diverse perspectives come together. Our guests will share their successes, challenges, and lessons learned, providing invaluable insights for listeners who are eager to make a difference in their communities and beyond. Together, let’s confront the critical question that fuels our mission: What is to be done?
Join us in this urgent exploration as we seek answers, share stories, and ignite a movement toward a brighter, more sustainable future. The time for action is now, let’s make it count!

Carolina Sachs
Carolina Sachs has spent three decades on the front lines of sustainability and innovation, turning big challenges into real-world solutions. Much of her journey has been inside the business world, where she’s pushed companies to think boldly and act responsibly.
After 12 years as Secretary-General of Axfoundation—driving transformative change across industries—she chose to shift her focus to early stage investments in food and ag‑tech companies through Martas Explorers. She also brings her experience and conviction into several board roles, including the Swedish Board of Agriculture, and continues to guide ambitious organizations as a senior sustainability advisor at Eidra.
Carolina’s career is driven by a simple but powerful belief: a regenerative world is not only possible—it’s necessary, and it starts with courageous action.

Joel Lindefors
Joel began his career as a global labor rights activist working to improve conditions in international supply chains, including a period supporting a small trade union in Sri Lanka’s economic free zones. He later stepped briefly into the corporate world at Nudie Jeans Co.
In 2010, Joel co-founded Futerra’s Stockholm office, later co-leading it from 2017 until its 2022 merger with the advisory group Eidra.
Joel has supported sustainability transitions across sectors including fashion, food, automotive, infrastructure, and finance. In 2024, Resumé ranked him 13th among the most influential people in Swedish communications over the past decade.
In 2025, Joel left the corporate world to refocus on the issues that matter most — rather than those that simply generate revenue.
